I'm adding to other comments about this Japanese pressing - it sounds sonically fantastic! Playing this record on my Technics SL1200GR with a Nagaoka MP110 - Jah Wobble's subsonic bass physically leaps off the record and punches you in the guts - and the highs sparkle!
I was originally looking for an original UK Metal Box 3x45rpm edition, but was too expensive. I haven't heard the original 3x45rpm UK edition, but I would find hard to believe it could sur this Japanese edition.

I just picked this up on japanese vinyl. Mine does not have poster. If anyone has one they want to sell hit me up. I have all other P.I.L. albums on.Japanes vinyl. I have The Cure, Bauhaus, Cocteau twins japanese releases as well. They all just explode on your turn table. The new 180 gram remasters don't even come close.

Thought I'd treat myself to this one off the back of the other glowing reviews. Jesus Fucking Christ. Best sounding record(s) I own or have ever heard. Honestly can't even imagine an OG actual Metal Box sounding better. If anyone was to ask me what the fuss is all about with vinyl, this is what I'd play them. Now planning on amassing all the other Levene era PiL on Japanowax. Get it get it get it.

I had a west German pressing of this for awhile....then I bought this one. Jesus it’s one of the best upgrades Iver ever made. I think it led to me upgrading a ton of vinyl from 75-85 from whatever I had to Japanese. Wow.

Paid $40 at a Disk Union in Tokyo for this complete with insert, obi and poster and it was very worth it. I don't have an original Metal Box to compare it to, but the sound on this blew me away. Jah Wobble's bass is in a whole other level.

this lp was released once in japan early in 1980, this is known as the tin can lp but in japan this is how it came NO TIN CAN, like the first issue this also came with a really nice japan only glossy nice poster wich was unique to japan!!!!!!, the only part that is a bit difficult is finding this lp complete w/ the poster and obi and insert but its not impossible 36 years on...................
