The lineup on this album (and on all Q's productions from this period) is mindblowing. To just call up Stevie or Herbie and ask for a quick solo. What balls. Not to mention Da Costa, Phillinganes, Lukather, Austin, Hey and Ingram. Very difficult to find music with the production level this has.

This is a great album, and the sound quality is fantastic as well.😀

Very detailed sound quality on this release, really punchy. Pressing is really good too.
I made needledrops of two tracks from this vinyl record - You can find them on the right side in the videos - Under the names: Quincy Jones - Ai No Corrida (1981 European Vinyl)
Quincy Jones - The Dude (1981 European Vinyl)

I do wonder how a US press compares, but on its own its a great sounding version that really displays the fine production of the music from recording to mixing and mastering.
Great soundstaging and separation. The bass is punchy and highs sweet. It could likely be more dynamically improved but probably not very much unless put over a 2LP 45RPM set.

          Edit:
This uses the US cut plates I think so it sounds the same.

          Equipment Used:
Rega RP1 with Paratrace tipped Nagaoka MP-200
          Cyrus 2 Amplifier
          System Fidelity SF-3050 Tower Speakers
