I have had to repeat the order until I found an excellent, totally perfect copy. This was my only encounter with this incredible being and it surprised me. I am very happy with this box, I fell in love. -
Freedom '94 (Live Version)? Should this not be 1996? No matter where I look, can't find info on that one.
Is it Berlin by chance? There is no info at all with the version.

Edited one year agoBeyond disappointed with this. Paid £140 only to find the main LP has clicks and crackles and skips all the way through both sides despite looking pristine and being flat as a pancake. And then just a few weeks after release the price plummets to £80 because even with decent vinyl - which this isn't - it was way overpriced. More fool me for buying. Avoid!

By far the most superior of all George’s albums! The level of soul and personal notes appearing throughout give an honest look inside the man, the artist! -
Do not have an original to compare, but for me this box gives what it is supposed to deliver. Superb packaging, lots of extra items such as art prints, unreleased cd's, extra concent etc..
Listened to it just now and I thoroughly enjoyed the quality of the record. -
The Australian Amazon box had the ***White Vinyl Record*** in the box. has anyone else from Australia who got it from AMAZON got the same White Vinyl Record???? -
Edited 2 years agoI am surprised by the rather underwhelming reviews here. I have a superb shiny pressing quality, no noise at all and super flat. Beside that, the mastering is fantastic. I did A/B comparison with my to date best release in of quality the K2 HD CD and the main difference is, the highs are less aggressive. This makes this wonderful album sound softer and warmer, what in my opinion fits the mood this album gives me pretty perfect. I hate agressive highs as it makes my ears bleed. I suppose people do confuse resolution with intensive highs. IMO this is very well done and I am often too critical. -

I'm not so impressed. Vinyls are flat and well centered. Unfortunately there's constant surface noise on the silent parts of the record.
Overall sound is okay, but it's not killer, it's not 3D. Stage is fairly narrow without depth and hight. I think they could've done better with this deluxe boxset. The booklet's nice. All those different remixes on CD are rather fatiguing.
And cardboard inners are a no go.
I think for the vast majority the overall quality is okay. For audiophiles I would also recommend the K2HD-CD.
Listened to the records with MoFi Studiodeck and professionally mounted Nagaoka MP-300.
