This release was a compilation of live recordings and new studio songs, that was the soundtrack to the U2 documentary movie.
It is a pretty polarising album – fans either like it or hate it. I think it’s ok. Not their best work, just more of the same. I’m just glad that after this they went away and completely reinvented themselves.
Perhaps 90’s U2 needed something like this album to help kickstart the next three amazing albums that came after Rattle & Hum.
