-
The pressing is good, flat, etc. But the mixdown and mastering... Sorry it sounds like a CD, also way too much bass. If you compare it to classic Jazz LPs it sounds lifeless in my opinion.
-
My copy is completely flat, properly centered, free of debris and very quiet with no surface issues. That said I am happy with the mixing and mastering. Great music and a band to follow.
-
The amount of ticks and pops on my brand new record is ridiculous. It's like a 40 year old second hand copy from someone's attic.
-
Wish I could say this is a good pressing, but unfortunately it has an almost rhythmic constant noise on the right channel…
Other than that and the occasional crackle and pop, it sounds quite decent, but what good does it do?
Music is really nice though. Pity. -
Fell on love with this group after hearing Abusey Junction, which is a treasure in my collection.. Still getting to know ithis one, but the production is good and my setup is singing so far. A beautiful record.
-
Considering these grooves have to cope with roughly 24mins per side, this pressing is really good - very well mastered. They pushed the bass a bit, quite well done, plus no sibilant sounds at all. Pristine copy here, too… nice one, mates.
And, yes, the music is even better… such a loveable album *****
