holy crap. this used to be a record I could pick up for $1 in bargin bins, still sealed.... now so expensive ?!? I like the heath bros. but hey people... crazy prices.

Edit: possibly due to some hippity-hopper samples? Sad.

This is so OVERRATED. Always found it boring to say the least. Maybe for Jazz Beginners...

There are three (possibly more) variations of label for this title : black with white print (white top/black bottom), all white with black print and a pale-blue label with back print (it seems that a green label also exist). On the pale-blue label version the back cover is also different, the strata-east logo is on the right and there is also the AFE Audiofidelity Enterprises Inc. logo with the mention "Internationally distributed by AUDIOFIDELITY ENTERPRISES INC. 221 West 57th Street, New York, N. Y. 10019.

Q-Tip actually sampled Part II. Part I, which I prefer, is continuously being slept on as a consequence. I didn't get to hear it until I got hold of a copy of the LP.

one of the best strata-east lps."smilin billy part 1" was famously sampled by q-tip for the track "one love" from nas' debut album "illmatic"...
