Really nice hits compilation. There are a few edit versions of tunes though. You're better off getting this 3-disc version though, because a lot of the B-Sides are definitely worth having.

Edited one year agoAlbum Revolution #13:
I don't know if too many people ever decided to write a review on this, but I will attempt to....
After once again regaining his popularity in releasing 2 good albums in "Diamonds & Pearls" and the "Love Symbol", "Prince" released the massive "The Hits / The B-Sides" collection...It covers almost all the classics from 1978 - 1992....
The only thing that bugs me about this (even though I get it), is that some of the classics like "When Doves Cry" and "I Wanna Be Your Lover" were cut, while songs like "Head" and "Sexy M.F.", have the original versions ran here (Sorry, but those could have been cut, just my opinion)...The good thing is that they didn't dare cut "Purple Rain"!!!!!!
The new songs are interesting....
"Peach" talks about a woman that he really wants....
"Pope" is "Hip Hop", "Prince" style....
Then there's the Crown Jewel in "Pink Cashmere", with it's non compromising "Prince" sound....
The other Crown Jewel is the live version of "Nothing Compares 2 U" (with the "New Power Generation" featuring "Rosie Gaines")....I felt a little better about this one, because I couldn't stand "Sinead O' Connor's" version!!!!! (Sorry guys!!!!) (I also have the original version by "The Family", Wonderful!!!!!).....
The other great thing on here is the "B- Sides"...
Classics like "She's Always In My Hair", "17 Days", "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore", as well as the naughty stuff like, "Erotic City"....
There is also 2 other unreleased ts like, "4 The Tears In Your Eyes" (preformed live with "Wendy & Lisa"), which was the song he wrote for the "USA for Africa" campaign, and the WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL "Power Fantastic", along with "The Revolution".....
I really need this to be on Vinyl, and I am sure that the "Prince Estate" will do it soon to get some more money (I do believe that "Prince Hits 1" is on vinyl, but that's not enough for me!!!!)....
Well, this is the story on this one, and it ends the Album Revolution (the first one), but for "Prince", there is another....It will take me a while to get to it though, so please be patient with me.......
(Oh Yeah, this is a "Prince" Classic!!!!)
PS: Just found out that both "Hits 1" and "Hits 2" will be on Vinyl (Now looking for the "B-Sides"...Yes I am that greedy!!!!!)......
