Edited 12 years agoIts 2013, and this is still my favourite Laurent Garnier album, definitly an album that stands out in the electronic music. This is the most dark trip that Laurent brought to us, filled with musics that evoke shadowy creatures, whether they are ghost, big Babou or evil manifestations, everytime i listen to this album i am dragged into those victorian Houses and i get to explore them with spooky nocturne atmospheres, at the same time i am suprised by crazy ghosts performances. the album starts with a respectful warning, then "city sphere" shows you a sleeping city submerged in deep fog, and spectres wandering in your house corridors. "forgotten thoughs" is another tracks of ghosts expressions, "The sound of the big Babou" is about a Babou that during the night appears in a orphanage and sucks every kid that finds with its big mouth. "Unreasonable behaviour" is about a message coming from the afterlife transmited via radio. "Cycles D'Oppositions" is a soft music that makes you imagine ghosts playing with light colors and with their bodies like they were made of plasticine in order to express varied geometric shapes,"the Man with the red Face" is the track wich i less enjoy, its too jazzy and seems a bit decontextualized from this album, no dark tune in its melody, the least i can imagine with this song is people dancing with their ghosts relatives. "Communications from the lab" is my favourite track, this one has a lovely melody, as the music progresses the melodys gets changed to a more emotional expression, it feels like observing souls leaving their dead bodies and walking towards the afterlife light." Greed" is about a angry ghost that wakes the people with his complains, "Dangerous drive" makes me imagine evil forces invading the houses at night, "Downfall", now this one places me inside a room with victorian wallpaper and old furniture, and there´s an old lady laying on her bed when suddenly she gets slapped in her face by a angry ghost.
the cd is ended by a soft nice music. This is an unforgettable album
