ABBA – Voyage

Die Qualität der Picture Disc ist extrem schlecht, Knacken, Rauschen und keine Dynamik und man hört schon Teile des Titels 3 Sekunden bevor der Titel eigentlich anfängt.
Die Qualitätskontrolle hat hier völlig vresagt

I have to confirm the background noise and crackles in some tracks, no matter the picture disc was mint. The sleeve is very cheap, they could have at least expanded the picture to the whole cover and a die cut instead of this cold and bare black simple sleeve, which doesn't make justice to the nice picture itself.
Moreover a lack of an insert with lyrics and some photos is very incomprehensible and unacceptable, considering also the price for this picture disc.
The tracklist is well structured and very fluid in its sequence, my favourite at the moment is "Don't Shut Me Down" very "Abbaesque" and which could have come back from their vault (The Visitors or Super Trouper), very nice and Christmas tone "Little Things" (although too short which seems incomplete...), the open title " I still Have Faith In You"could be another Abba instant classic.
All in all a very good album but only 10 tracks after 40 years it seems to me really not enough, considering also the vast archive of songs still unedited from Mr. Andersson and Mr. Ulvaeus.
For sure I will not recommend to buy this picture disc pressed in , this is my 2nd (and last!) purchase from their distributor, the same where I bought "Face Value" (P.Collins) reissue, which is an absolute crap in matter of pressing, full of crackles and noise background like this one, unfortunately...
Anyway, musically it's not a masterpiece but definetely I can say only one thing to ABBA: Thank you for the music!

A massive ABBA fan like me should not be finding the flaws in this new release that we all have been waiting for 40 years. Nevertheless, the recording is much quieter and not as dynamic as older ABBA records. The pressing (at least on my copy of picture disk) is decent but has some background noise. The sleeve is pretty cheap and I would have expected some decent envelope or gate fold for this major release.

With regards to music, well, it's ABBA. I saw someone complained about the strength of the voice and compared their voices back then and now.. Well, they are in their 70s now and their voices are still superb. Some tracks are better than others, some have more energy than others, nevertheless it is a decent come back. Musically, many songs to me sounds as a "homage" to some of their older material but lacking some "massive hits" like in older days. At the end, this is a very pleasant album to listen, so enjoy it!

this is a very good pressing, the quality of the sound surprisingly high for a picture disc. shame that the picture is only on one side.

Maybe this pressing from Pallas in will be the one to get as usually the quality control is well done. Anyone listen to this issue yet?
