    the first punk record I ever got closely followed by the damned by the damned then the clash by the clash, I was told they were crap and punk wasn't real music, MMmm by people who listened to Mike Oldfield, Rick Wakeman and the likes, for some reason I saw the damned twice, 77and 87 both times in Newcastle, in 77 the gig was explosive then in 87 I was amazed how much they had progressed musically, must be two of their best ever gigs, almost like coming home in some ways !
