10/10 pressing. This is my first time listening to this version and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s like having Mac Miller in the room with you at times

YOU NOT A MAC WITH CHEESY RAPS FAN TIL YOU GET THIS RECORD!!!!!
His best HipHop album. You won’t see many artists rapping on this many tracks without. Any filler during this era outside of the very best & maybe some underground cats. Funeral, Diablo, San Fran, Yeah, Therapy, Here We Go. I can’t get into any Mac albums like this one. Shit hits different.
RIP THE LEGEND. ONE OF A KIND. CUT FROM THAT CLOTH -

Good pressing overall, but has some sibilance. Shows up on three different cartridges, and other records don't suffer from sibilance while all three of these records do. Not too distracting though.

One of the best mixtapes ever made, and Mac’s best work; sucks it’s missing so many of the OG samples and even instrumentation, but nonetheless I’m happy to have this record.

I’ll say it: this is absolutely Mac’s opus. Truly his most diverse & experimental work as well. They did not slouch with the packaging. I keep revisiting this record every few months & I’m always impressed by the pressing quality. I’m usually not ive abt resale prices but this is an absolute must have if you don’t have this yet & are debating!

Edited 3 years agoSound is great, vinyl is flat and quiet, but I'm surprised anyone is gushing over packaging/ presentation. It's pretty cheap, especially compared to some of the newer quality packaging we are seeing lately. It's a single opening, standard thin density card. Printed inners are nice, but they're not lined.

Edited 3 years agoOfficial release had a long list of samples cut that they were not able to clear. Only a couple of samples remain. Below are the samples that were cut.

Charles Bukowski interview at the beginning of "Wedding"

"Authority" line at the end of "Colors and Shapes"
Bill Murray ending line in "New Faces v2"
Bill Murray intro lines in "Grand Finale" -
Man what an amazing tribute to great music, and a great artist. No corners cut on this release, top notch.

Really no complaints they really knocked it out the park. The jackets are awesome and detailed. The different colored LPs are great. The sound is very clear and no skips or pops for me
