This pressing does not disappoint, even with surface noise on my copy I can clearly hear all the parts lift off the vinyl. I also have the 2008 180g reissue, which is also amazing, but I prefer this pressing: Steely Dan and Japanese audio are a perfect match.

Just got this pressing - and are simply blowen away by the incredible sound! The "duet" with Steve Gadd and Wayne Shorter on Aja are mastered to to perfection!

Edited 2 years agoListening to the song Aja itself - it's astounding how it simply lifts off the vinyl and fills your entire living space. Very "alive sounding" Japanese pressing. Get yourself a mint copy with zero noise for a transcendent listening experience. -
I have had a couple of copies of this but never an orig and I never really got why this album had such a reputation, until I heard this! It all makes sense now, wonderful pressing!

I just upgraded to this pressing from a first Canadian pressing, and the difference was astounding. Highly recommended!

I have a copy of this, but on the label there exists some kanji, "見本盤" meaning sample record! I wasn't sure if I should add a promo copy of this to the database -
