While this pressing sounds good; up against my 1975 black rainbow Gloversville pressing, it doesn’t win. Both VG+.

I've owned a few copies of this debut Skynyrd LP and the original 1973 Sounds of the South version sounds the best. If you can find a NM copy, get it. You won't be disappointed.

This is an incredible sounding pressing as d. Hot but it’s not shrill or unclear. Separation is good very enjoyable. Worth the extra money if you can find a reasonably priced clean one and it is one of your desert island albums. Beats all the recent remasters including the AP.

Sound is amazing. One of the best debut albums. Skynyrd rocks!

The original has the black inner sleeve with MCA printed in white lettering. later versions had the reverse (white inner with black MCA printing).

Wow! Great pressing, cut-hot. Have a Near-Mint copy and it plays amazing.

Found a copy with the number “R120184” printed above the catalogue number on the labels, as well as on the bottom left corner of the rear of the jacket. Matrix number is simply this number plus A or B. Otherwise this release is identical in appearance. Is this an existing/known release or need to be submitted as a new release?
