Iron Maiden – Senjutsu

No longer attractive
We heard all that back in Dance of Death and since then it only became more and more slow, epic and uninteresting. There are maybe a couple of things here which won't get you bored unless you're a masochist person. But don't you ever ever touch Disc 2. You are forewarned.

Decided to get the CD of this album, I had listened to it digitally when it came out but not much stuck with me at the time. After seeing their recent Future Past tour and 4 songs played live that sounded good, I wanted to revisit it. LP seemed too expensive and awkward to listen to. Production is similar to the their recent releases. Songwriting is a touch above Book Of Souls, decent 1st CD, but 2nd half is very long, laborious, and unmemorable. Death of the Celts seemed better live than it did on record. I have most Iron Maiden on LP except for Blaze years, Book of Souls, and this one, doubt I will revisit it much.

A truly terrible album, after several listenings I'm unable to recall any track apart from the semi catchy writing on the wall.

Lots of over long tracks, with that 'yo ho ho me heartys' stomp as favoured by Maiden on later albums.

Might be a bit biased here as Killers is playing in the background as I type this.

The last British Lion album, also pi**ed over this from a great height.

This album has great tracks, sadly i can't listen to it as much as I'd want to. Terrible mastering and production, there's so much distortion i noticed it immediately even with cheap earbuds, specially during solos. The mixing itself is very mid-focused and feels bloated.

Maiden these days lack creativity, but this album ( at least the first CD ) shows some improvement. My advice for the band: keep Harris as a player and let him write songs for solo projects. In the past he was was the best songwriter for Maiden, but that momentum has gone. I have no problem with long metal songs but disc 2 of this release is pretty boring.

Really bad mastering job on this one. Crackling all over disc 2.

Hi, as most people, I've bought this boxset when it came out, with a wrong booklet in. I've fulfilled the page to to receive a replacement booklet. This was months ago. Meanwhile I've received 2 to 3 mails from Warner babbling how sorry they were and that replacement booklets would arrive soon. I've answered to those mails to make a complaint as I received no booklet, despite the mails confirmed that I was ed to receive mine, and more upsetting maybe at least for me, not a single reply to my mails.
Now I'd like to know if there are other people in this situation or if I'm in a tiny minority, and more important, advices and help about what to do, whom to write to, etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated, really.
Please keep me in touch, I've got the feeling I need to solve the problem the soonest possible or else I might get ****ed and receive nothing, without even knowing to whom I should write. Even the registration page to receive the replacement booklet was so well hidden I'd have never found it without a discoger hero who provided the web adress...

Can bands pls stop putting the booklet in this middle part that is impossible to properly get out pls…
