Received my copy today and came with lyrical sheet and cd. Blue translucent is nice but I wish we received the swirly blue and white vinyl that the brits got.

I owe Rough Trade a public apology, for what it's worth. In my previous post I mentioned that the Lyric Sheet and Card were missing. The 2nd pouch on my copy was partially sealed. It looked like a solid piece. When examined closer, I sliced about a 1/2 inch on the bottom edge with a razor to fully open the pouch, where I then saw and removed the "included" lyrics and card. I tried to cancel the replacement, but they had already shipped it with a return label for the bad copy. I offered to pay for the return by they declined. They provided excellent, immediate customer service on my "non-problem".
Thanks Rough Trade! -
My copy not come with a a sleeve with lyrics, either!
Is this typical of Rough Trade, or is the version information for this limited edition just not correct in Discogs? -

Edited 3 years agoMy copy came in today, and there is a lot of crackling and surface noise during the quieter parts, Anyone else have this problem?

Edited 4 years agoIt's nice that there's a blue vinyl for 'Blue Weekend' and it's a beautiful colour. Packaging-wise, the album comes in a thin, resealable cellophane pocket with a small blue product description sticker on the front and barcode sticker on the back (there's no barcode on the actual record cover). The resealable flap is gummed, which can accidentally stick to the album cover or lyric insert if you're not careful! (I covered mine up with deftly-applied Sellotape.) I personally feel the print design could have matched the physical gatefold format better: The inner gatefold spread is almost featureless, yet the card inner sleeve breaks a picture into two, with the halves on each side of the sleeve. It would have been nicer to see it as a gatefold spread. The lyrics could have then been printed onto each side of the inner sleeve rather than on the separate creasable/tearable/loseable insert. The CD comes in a simple card sleeve, tucked into the gatefold with the lyric insert and card.
