Was it so hard to fit this on two LPs at the time? Ended up getting a double in 2017, so why not this one?

Perplexed at the bad reviews. My copy is superb. Extremely well-pressed, full and beefy sound, no distortion or surface noise noticed. Very pleased! Pressed by Pallas and cut by Chris Bellman, can’t ask for much more. Highly recommend.

Bought Nimrod on CD first then this reissue appeared in 2009. As for this one, it does sound good to me. I haven't heard the 2xLP version but this version sounds punchy, quiet (it ain't an audiophile vinyl) but like a pop-punk record is supposed to sound. It does sound better than the 2009 version of Dookie. Mike Dirnt's bass is very noticeable like on the CD. It's loud and if you're familiar with the CD version, this will not disappoint. NOTE: I do always ask everyone to check their rig. I don't have a fancy rig (composed by a 1200 and a Sumiko Pearl cartridge) - Align those cartridges, check their respective grams and you'll see that sometimes ain't the record's fault, but you. Hope this helps.

I received this as a gift. It's definitely compressed but if you're looking for Nimrod on vinyl, it's a great collectors piece and worth putting on occasionally.

I'd avoid this. It doesn't sound great. It's over compressed and sounds quite tinny.

I was pretty pumped when I bought this on vinyl, brand new, really bringing back my teen years. Well upon actually playing it I was less than impressed, quite bummed to be honest. Tracks were over compressed and hot, just constant distortion from peaking levels. Glad to have it in my collection, but most likely won't actually be listening to it very much. Bummer, but oh well, that's the game of vinyl I suppose.
