Edited one month agoAll I can say is wow!! This is a spectacular sounding pressing - definitely the best Stereo pressing I’ve heard (and I’ve heard quite a few 😉). The bass is phenomenal - as are the guitars and I’m hearing things I’ve never heard before. Well worth seeking out especially while it’s relatively cheap.
I have the Hor Zu 2nd pressing of Magical Mystery Tour and the German Stereo Die Beatles (Please Please me) and the ‘85 DMM White Album - and now this ‘77 pressing of Help! - and all 4 are brilliant! The big question is…are there other German Beatles pressings worth seeking out? -
All I can say is that most people don’t know how good this pressing is and which is why it’s cheap and I could pick it up for a reasonable price. Like the horzu of magical mystery tour, once people become aware, this pressing would become iconic.

I compared this to my UK -1/-2 tube/solid state hybrid and this handily beat both sides. I actually fell in love with this album listening to this pressing - it's that much of a revelation. The UK is quite muddy but this edition opens the sound up and seems to let each instrument breathe better.

My copy is dead quiet with great mastering. You still get that wonky early-beatles mixing with instruments hard panned to either channel (thankfully the vocals are centered) but if you can look past that, the vocals and instrumentation sound crystal clear, especially highlighting the vocal melodies. Cannot compare to other copies as this is the only version I own. With that said, it's a great sounding copy to own!

Edited one day agoI've heard a few stereo versions of this record, and this version stands out as the best sounding, to my ears. What a joy to listen to after such lack-luster releases. Because of this pressing, I hold the album in higher esteem and appreciate it in the same way I do Rubber Soul. The music itself is great; with some of the best vocal harmonies the Beatles ever put out on record.

If you want a pressing of 'Help' in stereo, this is the one to get. And above & beyond a great mastering, the vinyl itself is pretty well dead-silent. Phenomenal album by the Fab Four...

This Apple '77 pressing sounds REALLY good. I made the mistake of getting a Horzu '72 pressing, first - a total waste of time. Terrible. THIS one, however, is terrific!

Anyone knows how much could be the price of the other 77 version with the wrong spell of the 4th song on side B?
