My toes are tapping and I'm oohing and ahhhing along with the backing vocals on the chorus of Four Little Diamonds, love that track,
ELO's(Electric Light Orchestra)tenth studio album,recorded December 1982 – February 1983 and released later that year 24th of June,not only their last album to be released on the Jet label,but also their last studio album to become a worldwide top 40 hit upon release,bass guitarist Kelly Groucutt's last time with the band along with conductor Louis Clark and a full orchestra.
The LP's cover was designed by David Costa created by the photographer Hag and hand tinted by Kim Harris,it always made me think of a Terry Gilliam Monty Python mash up.
I knackered my mum's belt driven turntable on her Crown "music center " by playing the record backwards by hand just to hear Jeff say "welcome to the show" 1983 was a good year for satanic verses hidden in vinyl records lol.
