I'm inclined with dr303: "Purple road" is a nuclear bomb... the perfect track at the barbecue when your in-laws are in town - family bonding stuff for sure!

Keep Your Love is a dirty acid classic, simple and fantastic. I love its menacing sound and stomping percussion. Granted, I like to spin it significantly faster than default, but either way, this is a brilliant track. And the other two tracks are classic, as well.

Pick up this piece of acid techno history if you don't already own it.

Ahh....'Purple Road' ....now there is a track that for me is worthy of the term 'acid classic'. Builds slowly from a low 132bpm bubble in to a tweaked thundering acid stormer. Simple, minimal and layered acid similar to Woody McBride's 'Sounds' label. Mixed great for me coming out of Slam 'Step Back' at the time. Its a cliché but the dynamics of this track are best heard when played loud. Still makes me smile to this day. In my all time acid top 10 for sure.

In those Days i where very often in Holland for Business, at my free time i spend some visits at Midtown Amsterdam and Rhythm Import. I found this new Label X-Trax with the first Rleases there, the X-Trax 001 was permanently sold out btw., i was glad to pick up the next 3 releases. I my set at the weekend after the Holland Trip, when i first dropped the track "Rookie". The People gets completly mad, cry continous around and the whole club went into a moving dance crowd :) At this Moment i know the time was right for music like this. I would say i was one of the first in who plays the early X-Trax 12 Inches. Takes a long time, i about a half year before the X-Trax releases 001-004 where played up and down in all famous clubs in . Rookie is one of my Favorite Track from all those X-Trax Relases. He is so simple made, but so powerfull an groovy like hell that everybody had to dance.

Excellent acid techno record from DJ's Misjah and Tim. The 'A' side 'Keep Your Love' is a techno 303 stormer with an acid line similar to Josh Wink's Higher States or a number of Hardfloor tracks at the time only more minimal and less tweeked. Dropped over it is a Todd Terrysih sample 'Keep Your Love' that gives it a rather hybrid feel. The 'B' side (my favourite) is 'Purple Road' which is an even more stripped down and minimal smoldering and building affair that would work well in an electro or minimal set. The third track (Rookie) is less exciting and more experimental sounding (think Christian Vogel)but still not a bad track. Overall an excellent little EP with at least 2 dance floor friendly trax.
