There are heavy sibilance distortions on Ocean Eyes. "S" are audibly distorted and sound like scratch.

Edited one year agoListening from a friend’s copy but I can’t deny that the mastering and overall pressing is not bad, like wow
Her voice is so clear and the separation is great. Not bad, not bad at all -

My album sounds phenomenal, my only complaint is slight warp on the B side it is still playable but not flat, I get a lot of use out of this record tho cause every song is awesome so maybe I'll grab a 2nd and frame the original.

The sound quality has BLOWN me away. Shocking that this was a Target press because it sounds like Billie is in my room serenading me every time I play it. I've had a lot of problems when it comes to Target exclusives but this?? Gives me faith in them.

Picked a copy up at my local Target today and I have to say I’m shocked at how good this sounds. I wasn’t expecting much but this is a rich, loud, dynamic pressing with full bodied low end. My inner sleeve was also strangely crumpled/bent, but I don’t really care. The record itself was warped around the edges but it doesn’t affect tracking at all.

Great sound quality here. No distortion, very dynamic, balanced volume. The split colorway is aesthetically pleasing to look at with the album art. I will agree with the reviewer below that this is sibilant. However, so is the digital mix. Tried it out with a microlinear stylus, and I still had a fair amount of sibilance. If you can overlook that, then this is worth picking up.

sounds amazing on my LP120x. kinda mad that the inner-sleeve is crumpled up, but i’m not the only person with that issue. there’s also a scratch on the label, which sucks, but i’m kinda used to it with target releases.
