One of the finest Techno producers ever. People often make comparisons to the Detroit Pioneers like Carl Craig, Derrick May and Juan Atkins but The Advent had far more in common with Underground Resistance, Dave Clarke and Kevin Sanderson along with Joey Beltram. These artist revolutionized techno and took it to new heights. The Advent seemed to strike a balance between Arm Chair Techno, Warp Records coined the phrase from there Artificial intelligence series with a distinct thumping Techno but never going to minimal. Simply put The Advent are in a league of there own and way ahead of the rest.

Best techno album ever, a revelation for its time...they made the most fascinating techno, rather elegant shaded patterns, totally original, still bangin!

Banging techno, with just the barest hint of melody to pull you through. NEW BEGINNINGS, though, is all about the unrelenting beat. Not only is it meant to make you move, it pretty much insists on it. "House Seed," for instance, bristles with barely-restrained energy. "Funkage" does bring some robot soul about halfway through, while "Stassis" also has a hint of a vocals. But only that slight hint amongst the rhythm. The funk makes a reappearance on "C. Control," but "Stassis (Part II)" ends the album on a pure techno note again. Ah, the good old days...
