Edited 3 years agoThe new remix of this album from the box set and now released as the LP alone is what this album has always needed. I've always felt the original versions had been mastered strangely. The vocals are much louder, brought to the forefront, and most importantly, all the sibilance is gone. The hissy voice always irritated me. The instruments are less piercing. There are no strange changes in volume. You can play it nice and loud. Overall, it just sounds more full and dynamic. This version is really enjoyable. My copy sounds great after a sonic clean. The b-sides included in the box set like Grendel all benefit from the same remastering -Three Boats Down From the Candy in particular.
