Reviews
-
CD2-8 Little Red Corvette (Dance Remix Promo-Only Edit) would have been cool to have, but the track is actually just a longer edit of the album mix. sigh. Which reminds me, I don't know why Grundman insists on putting the start of the album version in the wrong spot as usual. Should be after the crash at the end of 1999 in the quietest part of the "ooooh".

Edited 3 years agoKudos to the Prince Estate....Now THIS is a stupendous SUPER DELUXE BOX. Love it on every level, but failure to include ‘Lust U Always’ & ‘Extralovable’ is unfortunate. This is how the 'Purple Rain Deluxe' SHOULD'VE been presented!!!!!
-
Sad Prince would never had gave us this much love for one of his albums, but SO GLAD the Estate did the right thing with his material. Only wished they at least gave us an instrumental version of Extraloveable. They did an amazing job with this release.
-
The Prince Estate so far, has been SERIOUSLY delivering the goods! These Super Deluxe editions of his best albums are over the top fantastic--you get all the alternate/extended mixes, b sides, and best of all VAULT TRACKS.
These mostly unreleased (at least in this quality) are as good as anything that made it onto this album, maybe even better.
The Estate REALLY knows what they are doing and I hope they give all his early albums this exact same treatment. Cannot wait to hear what else is in that Vault...
