This sounds great to me. "Precise
Bass-heavy, and just right," in fact. And I've had the album on CD since it first came out.
Really surprising that a 25 mins/side pressing sounds as good as this. Frankly, that's a positive - as splitting this over four sides would have made for a really fragmented listening experience.
Zero quality issues - clean out of the sleeve (which I have replaced with a poly/rice paper bag, and you should too), zero surface noise. Just a shame there's no picture inner sleeve. Buy with confidence.
Listening with Rega P3-24, Rega Elys II, Rega iO, Dali Oberon 5. -
My pressing is absolutely dope as F.

Edited 4 months agoNot quite sure where all the hate for this pressing is coming from. Listening to it right now and the mix is great. Super deep, warm, punchy lows. Crisp, bright highs. My copy has no noise whatsoever. Flat/not warped record. No IGD on mine. Put this on after listening to another record and actually had to turn it down a little, so def not a quiet pressing. Solid play all the way through.
I’m getting real tired of people on here nitpicking shit down to a molecular level. I don’t understand the hate for perfectly fine pressings. Don’t even get me started on the blanket “GZ pressings all suck” umbrella statement. Got plenty of GZ pressings that sound better than other manufacturers. It’s like an echo chamber. They hear someone else say it so now they stand hard on statements that have no merit.
Do I have records that have noise, are warped, or just mixed terribly? Absolutely. But this isn’t one of them. Don’t let the people who can’t form their own opinions keep you from grabbing this slab of wax. -
Doesn't sound bad but my copy came really dirty even though it was brand new sealed record. It's got crackling sounds throughout the whole record

Better than expected. The songs definately dont fluctuate in volume as can be heard on the Juno samplers for this cut. Nor do they on the 2020 green concerto repress. Nor do i agree wirh lifeless comment... sure it COULD be better knowing a double 45rpm would indeed breath extra life and dynamics but to suggest this cut is dead isnt fair. In fact for 25mins a side it holds up great, doesnt have much baked in IGD when played with my newish microlined cart. And there may lie the problem for some trying to play 25min sided LPs with needles designed in the mid 1900's for typical 17mins a side.

For a hip hop record, this pressing is shallow and quiet. It doesn't sound bad, it just doesn't have the depth it should have. Not sure any other pressings are different, lots of reviews across different pressings say similar things so who knows. Needs a proper repress like the VMP version of Low End.

Quality amazed me enough to write this comment. This is not a bad one to get if you want to update your original because it's a bit worn.

Scored the record for $10. This pressing sounds way better than the trashy 2013 pressing I had before. If you can find it, grab it.
