Got my copy of this pressing today....don't know if the pressing quality is any good yet because it was absolutely filthy on arrival despite being sealed and brand new. A brush clean got enough dirt off the record I could have probably started a veggie garden...what do they do in these new pressing factories?? Will see what its like after a wet ultrasonic clean

Buy this sealed. Opened. Track 1 Side B beginns with a scratch – clicks and 3 skips over around 20 seconds.
Must be a pressing fault.
Does anyone knows this too?

Edited 2 years ago101 Essentials. Lovingly remastered, and a stellar pressing. Original liner notes are included.

I agree with other reviews that the sound quality of the vinyl is fantastic, which is wonderful because this is a very special album to me, but otherwise this is a very disappointing release for an anniversary edition reissue. The cover photos are awful - it looks as though they just enlarged them without any quality/clarity improvement - and in just a standard jacket with a lyric insert. No liner notes about the making of the record, especially in the context of Ben Watt's recovery from illness? No bonus tracks of the Rollercoaster b-sides or live tracks from the Missing live EP? And granted, we don't need dozens of remixes of Missing, but the quintessential Todd Terry mix would make sense. A total missed opportunity.

Edited one year agoIn my top 10 of all time favorite records. This is also one of the first records I bought when I returned to vinyl in 2019. What a score. Mine does have a hump in it, but doesn't affect playing after I flattened it a bit. That's what she said.

Does anyone get quite a bit of sibilance from Tracy's voice here? Everything else is unbelievably good, but I've changed my stylus and it's still there from track 1.
-
And with this purchase I have my absolute best sounding record yet. Truly incledible, lush airy sound with incredible bass and as others said it is dead silent.
I'm in love -
Truly mesmerizing - dead quiet, audiophile quality. Highly recommended. When these two combine musical ideas, its magical.
