It's nice. Nothing spectacular, just solid, clean sound without any noise. I would definitely recommend it

Good edition at a reasonable price. MOV offers you a vinyl edition with high resolution recording, enough for most humans. The vinyl comes in a neat presentation, and the pressing is very good, without errors, clicks or pops. The sound is perfect, with good separation and definition of instruments, even in the fastest parts. As for the content, we are looking at a transitional work between the acoustic and electric era of Miles.

I just picked this up yesterday from my local store. I have no other copies so I cannot compare. But to my ears, this is nice and quiet and a joy to listen to.

Edited 2 years agoThis is my second brand new copy of it. It sounds excellent until it skips constantly at about one minute before the end of B2. The first copy I've got did exactly the same at exactly the same point, so they have done something wrong at the pressing plant with the metal master, or something like that.
Such a shame! But I'll keep this one for the 98% of it which is great quality. -
Edited 4 years agoFilles de Kilimanjaro can be understood as a transitional album, right between Mile's 'acoustic' and 'electric' period and the early experimentations of fusion. Sort of the space between spaces where new patterns and new directions are discovered. Mile's is accompanied by Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Corea. Consider this album an entry point into Bitches Brew. The Music On Vinyl reissue is superb. True sonic bliss.

Yeah this pressing sounds great and I would absolutely recommend it. I have yet to go wrong with MOV! I have a bunch of their pressings and they are all excellent.
