Stunning compilation of soulful and joyful music - a step away from anything else I've heard before. Beautiful curation, can't believe it's taken the repress to alert me to this. -
Edited 2 years agoHaving been a dedicated collector of anything related to "Peruvian Psychedelia" since I first heard "Roots Of Chicha" on a stormy fall in Norway 2011 (such a pivotal experience I the details) this LP has introduced me to what was going on at the other side of the Peruvian-Brazilian borders of the Amazon around the same years. Gone are the mystical Andean Huayno influences, added are spiced up Afro-Latino influences both from the North and South. Yes, this music is HOT, intense, sexy and dangerous. Gem after gem after gem.
I want to applaud Analog Africa for a flawless product. The booklet isn't only beautiful, it is loaded with information to stimulate my inner anthropologist. The audio is truly impressive: excellent restauration. Highly recommended! -
Don't really know where they did get the OG audio, but it sounds really delightful with crispy vocals, rounded bass and good balance. 8/10 pressing.

Received mine today!
Haven't listened to it but it's a bit warped. I think that the shrink wrap + booklet + 2LPs all too tight may have caused this.
Any opinions on this?
Anyone with the same issue? -

Great package! Some really gritty, deep tracks, from a remote region, with a beautiful booklet too. Analog Africa on point, as always!
