Ordred from Mondo. Sound quality is absolutely fantastic. The music itself doesnt make for the most pleasant/smooth listen since it really varies. -
Side C was problematic on my original 2017 copy, particularly Threnody, so I bought this newer version, believing it would be better. It was hardly any better, and I only had more problems with Side D.
If anybody else has sound quality issues, please post where. Thanks -
Beyond the really cool die cut outer sleeves and color vinyl colors of these Death Waltz TP releases, I can’t say I love the pressings nor the designs. -
Edited 6 years agoAs much as I do like the packaging on this, it's just a repress of what Rhino put out in 2017. It was a good chance for them to correct Threnody (which was the wrong recording) but they didn't take the time to do so. It's similar to Mondo's Jurassic Park flub where the last two tracks were swapped and they failed to fix it despite doing multiple represses.
Unless you're a completionist or really like the packaging, this is a likely skip at nearly double the price of an original. -
