I bought Jagged Little Pill on CD at an HMV store in Ontario, Canada the week of its release, and my copy (which I still have) does not include the Jimmy The Saint Blend of You Oughta Know. The last track on the disc (track 12) is Wake Up / Your House. Seems like only the initial batch of copies was 12 tracks and that it was almost immediately replaced with the 13 track version because I've never known anyone else to have the 12 track version. Not sure if this occurred in the U.S. as well or only in Canada?

Edited 8 years agoThis would have been the sort of music i would have avoided but It's weird that i know every word to every song on this album. This is due to the fact that at the time every girl that i was interested in and managed to get into their car/go to their yard this would be playing circa 95/96. It didn't matter what music they were normally into they had it. And the kind of girls i would have been meeting would have been HipHop/RnB/Jungle heads normally, so i guess she reached way beyond what would have been her target audience. I wouldn't have itted it at the time but i liked it too and it's aged pretty well. Funny thing is Icouldn't name any other of her songs that weren't on this album though.
I asked my mrs recently is she had it back then and the answer was obvious...

Edited 9 years agoNice rock-pop album with some gems (You Oughta Know, Ironic)
Pros:
-Sung and played with energy.
-Pretty nice lyrics.
Cons:
-Sometimes the vocalist goes off tone.

Wow! 20 years and still NO ADVANCED RESOLUTION, Surround Sound treatment for this ICONIC album boasting 33+ MILLION copies sold and 4 Grammies. This latest A.D. 2015 RM, RE, Ltd. (cd only) box set feels like nothing more than a money grab and thus another missed opportunity. Please take note, Alanis.
