Agree wth all, I just bought a second copy because mine had a few pops and ticks on it. This really is a masterpiece. 🤓

Stunning masterpiece from front to back, every note pure perfection. The 1976 Japan vinyl measures against any other pressing out there. Also own the Acoustic Sounds recent reissue.

Edited 2 years agoThe definitive version of this 1964 masterpiece. Coltrane sounds like he is in the room with you. To be honest it's not the songs on this record it is 100% the playing and collaboration that makes the groove factor enchanting. The accompaniment of McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison 7 Elvin Jones is tight and quite understanding of Trane's thoughts.
Sound Quality? incredible, quite possibly the definitive Saxophone recording.
Production and Engineered by the incredible Bob Thiele and Rudy Van Gelder this is an essential study in Blue Trane!
'Crescent' 10 out of 10 listening experience! ********** -
