Notes
In December, 2000, Rage Against The Machine's record company successfully pressured Napster to remove RATM fans from their network. In retaliation, (and as an apology to their fans), RATM released the "Renegades" album for free in instrumental form as MP3 files from the RATM website (excluding "Beautiful World"). All were encoded at 128kbps, 44.1kHz except "I'm Housin'" which is 56kbps, 22.05kHz. Unfortunately, these files are no longer available.

Edited 12 years agoWhat needs to be said? If you liked Renegades and want to hear it without the vocals, this is pretty awesome. Ghost Of Tom Joad, being a remix of a previous recording, is the only one that is not a true instrumental—if you listen closely you can hear the vocals; barely. I'm Housin' is the only one of poor quality. For some reason the only version I can find, anywhere, is about 70 kbps; scratchy and static-like. Don't know if that is the one they released originally or not, but it's all that seems to be out there.
