Wow, wow, wow! Finally, this is how I love my White Album! Had the CD in the 1990s and even though the genius of the Fab Four was obvious, the sound of the record always left me unsatisfied. It seemed not a cohesive work. Yet I was hesitant if it would be appropriate to touch the sacrosanct recordings and change what I thought was the original sound. Now, thankfully I dared to buy, because the Giles Martin mix is a revelation! It gives full sound, a great sound stage and great feeling of warmth to the record. It's complete for me now. I had to return my first purchase because of few but terrible pops. Second version I got is perfectly fine. I hope for all of you and many generations to come to enjoy this masterpiece.

Excellent sounding pressing, smoother than the stereo OG obviously as this one is designed for modern playback systems which older records from the 60s can sound very bright and sometimes harsh on

Mine came with skips on side 2, as well as surface noise throughout the whole album. After I cleaned the records, all the noise and skips were gone. Now it’s silent, dead quiet.

I love the sound of this pressing. Some people complain about the excessive amount of bass, but I still enjoy it a lot. I’m very happy with this one, and even though I don’t have an original to compare it with, I still think this is more than enough, at least for now.

after listening to my uk stereo 1st and german 1st which both sound good i prefer this 40th because it has a fuller sound with better low end well balanced and still dynamic without the fatiguing high end of the originals

Ok, after reading positive reviews here...I agree: it's sound amazing !!! My only little thing is that maybe there's too much of bass sometime... But, it's absolutly wonderful.. Beatles never sound that great !!!

Like all the recent Beatles remasters this one is awesome. Sounds incredible, heavyweight vinyl, quality inner sleeves, recreation of the original gatefold cover, posters…

I own 4 copies of "The White Album". I have an original Pitman that's not in great shape. A purple label Capital in VG+, the 2012 repress and this 2018 Giles Martin remaster. There is no comparison. This one wins hands down. I love that they were able to beef up Paul's bass and Ringo's drums sound modern, although I understand a lot of collectors may not approve of that. I've read an article with Mr. Martin stating he was able to take all the bounced tracks from the original master and through modern technology, was able to separate each instrument and re-mix which I find fascinating. Again, this is not a mix for everyone, but for those that appreciate better sound and pronounced definition, it's a big time winner.

out of the four now-existing remixed albums, I like the White Album remix best, and by far. it sounds the purest, revealing even more detail and spontaneity than the glorious original did. on vinyl with zero surface noise, it's even more of a revelation.
