I’m surprised nobody has dropped a comment here about Rock / Outer Space, one of Scot Project’s biggest releases. Both tracks rule and showcase the ability in Frank (Scot Project) to lay out huge stadium anthems not overcome by Dutch-style cheese and liability. I guess that’s partially a contradiction, because the pianosamples (in Rock!) are cut from “This Is My House” à la The Hypnotist as clearly indicated by the release notes above. Nevertheless it has all the ingredients for pure-overdose, HT madness. The break is sublime, but not relaxing enough to get peeps off the dancefloor. You just feel the next high comin’ round the corner and it does in a sublime melody. It blew me off my feet the first time I heard that one and to this day, still rings as Scot’s best from my perspective.

For when R (Rock!) is just too over-the-top, Frank’s got S (Outer Space) as a fantastic alternative. It’s a bit more on the classier side – a perfect set-transcending cut with both a tech-vibe and hard-uplifting character. The chunky bassline and gorgeous arped lead are a good insight-into some of the future productions that would come outta the Scot Project stable, but I’m sure back in ’03 this was the goldmine. Both A and B are versatile, 5/5 star material: some of the best Overdose has to offer!.
