People aren't paying attention here. This first pressing is the only vinyl version with the essential "Introduction" track 1, which really sets an exciting stage for the fire-y funk that's to follow. I being blown away by the music and artwork, convinced this was some rare, from-the-vaults 1960s funk LP. I was wrong - it's better.

According to the Field Guide To Daptone Records, the first pressing of this album had a tip-on jacket with the Havemeyer address on it, the second pressing (again with tip-on jacket) had the Troutman address on it. Third press has regular style non tip-on jacket. Fourth pressing was re-mastered with an additional bonus track included and a 1,000 of those were pressed on blue vinyl

This could be the best funk album ever made, even James Brown, Marva Whitney, Lyn Collins, Fred Wesley & The JB's, Marva Whitney, Bobby byrd, Maceo & The Macks just to name a few did not produce as consistent from start to finish albums like this but you have to they laid the roots that this album is based on, to many people who have listened to this gene of soul/funk music may think the first statement is crazy but this album should go down as one of the greats, personally i don,t like the other albums by this artist more soulful that funky mark my words because ive seen many albums like this, prices go through the roof in later years.
