Robert Hood – Moveable Parts Chapter 1 | Techno / Minimal vibe from 1995, Moveable Parts Chapter 1 has 4 tracks that create mayhem on the floor when played properly. Loopy, hypnotic yet subtle on the senses, Moveable Parts Chapter 1 is a perfect accompaniment to any record bag or USB/Hard Drive, pending.

Keep up the great work, Hood.

As I'm sure many African-American individuals would say "You D' Man, Hood... You D' Man!" 🖤🖤

This is one of the most slept on techno masterpieces of all time IMO. I will never forget the first time I heard this at a proper Detroit afters. No other techno recording from the era comes close to this vibe. It's timeless and it definitely influenced what became minimal techno a few years after this came out. Hold on to your copies if you have them or stock up on more while they are still around for cheap. It's dope juggling if you have that kind of skill.

This record is banging! F-ing perfection. Pure Detroit techno at its finest. Hood always delivers. While I dig all the tracks Untitled 2 is the money ticket. Gawd I am sure I probably have heard this at some point in the last 25 years on a loud system but I wish to revisit this on a proper wall system :-) Starts of with that going down the stairs/rabbit hole sound dragging you in deeper. Is it dark is it light damn I'm sucked in.....Moments later you realize its the light....Boom head banging away to a mesmerizing catchy fun proper techno record from stateside! Warehouse techno to the fullest! Underground Baby! Bring back them days!

One of my copies of this has Side A label on both sides of the record, but the record is actually correct, just the wrong labels.....

I can the very first time I heard this record standing in Fat Cat in London. The hard-hitting 909, then comes the metallic percussion (that sounds to me like knives being sharpened) followed by an engaging bassline that almost sounds out of time. An immediate purchase, a treasured piece of vinyl.
The same record left an equally deep impression on me when I heard it played at Lost by Jeff Mills. The crowd cheered when the hihat kicked in! I realised that this record was truly in another league.
