Such a SHITTY pressing. Way too fast. And it gets worse the more you get to the centre of the record. Almost CHIPMUNK level! -
Edited one year agoBack cover photograph is also different. I don't know why people don't mention that fact either... So there are five different front covers from 1978: the UK original off-center, UK centered, US original, this one, and the Finland off center cover with the Scandinavian photograph. Plus the various forms of reissue including the reissued UK off center one.
Very weird pressing cuz it IS all speeded up... I wonder if so they could get all these tracks in? -

I recently bought a copy of this Scandanavian/Swedish "This Year's Model" lp and was surprised that the picture of Costello performing on Saturday Night Live on the little television on the inner sleeve was removed. It is simply a grey screen - it was not done by a previous owner, it must be a copyright thing? Weird that no other versions have been "censored" to my knowledge. Anyone else get a copy like this?

The "Detectives" extra track on this release has been said to be a remix. Sounds like the regular version speeded up to me.
