If you haven't watched the footage on YouTube of James Last devouring Hawkwind's Silver Machine Medley then you are for something truly special.
Worth spending a few pennies for the entire Silver Machine/Children Of The Revolution/School's Out Medley or 'Potpourri' to use a delicuously 70s word - never have any cover versions of Hawkwind/Marc Bolan/Alice Cooper sounded so good.

This is utter total genius. If you were, say, ten, in 1972, the opening medley - Silver Machine/Children of the Revolution/School's Out - will turn your insides over. The exuberantly plodding band and mumbling words-forgotten vocals summon up the claustrophobic testosterone angst, Brut splash-on, style of the time, a hundred times more overpowering than any of the actual records. If I could go back in time and change one thing about history, then Mouldy Old Dough would be on here. 99 / 100
