My copy is a little noisy in spots, not terrible but just a few too many pops/clicks for my liking. This is after a wood glue, so it is inherent to the vinyl. My copy is otherwise flat and centered. Overall, I wouldn't say to avoid this, but it is not exceptional.

I have this and the original. My original had a bad scratch on the last song Side A. I bought this as a replacement. What a total disappointment. It sounds way worse than the OG press. I even did a comparison of this against the OG pressing for several friends. They said the difference and "Flatness and Lifeless" sound of this new pressing is very obvious. Too bad. Guess I will be dumping this one.

This is the second copy I've bought. The first had major needle swaying...unlistenable.
This pressing had a lot of debris on the vinyl, so I have to do a major clean. The mix is nice and full, no vocal distortion. There is some surface noise at times, especially quiet sections. For the price, it's a good one to keep in the bin. -

Some of the notes/credits I think are incorrect on this listing. WG/NRP = Wes Garland/Nashville Record Productions. MPO is not stamped on this issue. I'm not sure what the (u) stands for.
Overall I like the sound, very punchy low end and no high end distortion at all, very quiet surface also.

Edited 2 years agoSounds amazing! Nice flat pressing. Dynamic and detailed. It has a nice full sound. The only problem is, it has a little surface noise on two tracks. I purchased this album twice new and both copies had bad surface noise. Even after wet cleaning they were very noisy. Finally I picked up a used copy for less than 1/3 the price on the new ones and it was way better. Over all it sounds really good.

I consider the original 1980 release as one of AC/DCs best albums and one of the best albums ever in this genre and this re-issue is a fantastic copy. I have the original and this version sounds every bit as good, actually it's even better as my 1980s copy now has a few pops and light scratches. The 180 gram vinyl of this re-issue actually feels better to handle than the original. The cover and sleeve artwork are great, the only problem I can find is every version I have seen has trouble with the labels cracking near the centre hole.
Maybe it's a sign of my age and when I grew up but I consider every song on this album to be a ten, Brian does a great job on vocals for his first album with AC/DC, just a shame Bon never made it to this party. Fantastic Album Guys.
