Soundstage is not very impressive, unfortunately. Bought this before I knew a lot about the hobby/curse. It sounds like a CD, which isn't necessarily bad, just compressed and tight. Hindsight being 20/20, but I'd iike to compare an original copy with this. I bet the OG is wide open.

Edited one year agoThis is a vey dirty pressing. The spindle hole was to small and had to be reamed out. The LP was slightly warped..The packaging sux. I was able to get it cleaned up enough to make it playable, and it actually sounds pretty good.. but not impressed at all with this "new" pressing. The labels match this listing "B0026324-01" but the runout on the a side is stamped 5739330-a, 156325E1/C. there is no stamp in the run-out referenceing the pressing plant. Of, course, I wouldn't put my stamp on it either.. so I'm actually am not sure where it was pressed...I'm guessing it's a rainbo pressing.. Any info. on where this was pressed would be great? thanks

Edited 2 years agoGot this back in 2020, then ended up with an original pressing US. The original sounds a little more balanced, and this remaster has a bit more of digital sheen as there may have been some digital used in the remastering process. Highs seem a bit boosted and an attempt made to squeeze a little more bass. But I still like this version too, just have to accept that things change when remastering involves any digital steps.

Very bad pressing by Rainbo. Warped, skips and loops. But when it plays - it plays well, thanks to Chris Bellman.
