Awful distortion on B3 and I it I wasn't in the playing room for most of the rest. I'm afraid this one is going in my 'giveaway' box.

Got this for the 2 Stevie songs, Just Called and Love Light, the sound quality all the way through for all tracks is very good and clear, cheap copy but it sounds great!

It cracks me up that Dionne Warwick gets, sorta, snuck in through the back door. Stevie is Dionne’s best collaborator, after Bacharach. ‘Moments Aren’t Moments’ is a sweet, 60s influenced gem. -

I love "Stevie Wonder", I really do, but "The Woman In Red (Selections From The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)" is where he started to REALLY slide.....
I understand that it was the '80's, different decade, different sounds, I get that...But at times, it is still hard for me to swallow...."Stevie" (with help from Engineer "Gary Olazabal") on this set sounded like he was trying hard to keep up, and with very mixed results....
I will only mention the best songs on here....
"Love Light In Flight". is an Ultimate Crown Jewel....It has an infectious Melody, and a FANTASTIC Beat....
The other Ultimate Crown Jewel, "Weakness" (featuring the Songtress herself, "Dionne Warwick"), qualifies as that "Classic Stevie Wonder Slow Jam"....
"Don't Drive Drunk", the 3rd Crown Jewel, was a much needed anthem about Drunk Driving and a great er of M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Driving...Ok, don't LAUGH at me....I know it was obvious!!!!)....
Then there is the MONSTER #1 Hit, "I Just Called To Say I Love You"....Even though this is a "Stevie Wonder Favorite" (and I do like it), at times it can get a little stale....
The rest of the album to me is just there...This is why, I stopped the Album Revolution for "Stevie"...I just could not in good conscience do it...Sorry Guys, but with "The Woman In Red" as a complete album, I just couldn't hang....... -

I just came for "I just called", the rest are a bonus. Decent compilation. Pressing is nice. -

I dont know about all USA pressings of this album, but i have four copys of this record and all of them are on quiex vinyl,or translucent whatever you choose to call it, damn good album , -
I can't in good conscience give this more than 3/5 but it definitely has a worse wrap then it deserves. Worth keeping in mind this is a soundtrack, for a soundtrack it holds up amazingly well with many songs that could have fit on a Stevie album of the time. My personal favourite tracks are Don't Drive Drunk, Love Light In Flight and Woman In Red. If you're a fan of In Square Circle you may find something to like here.

This is fantastic music. This is Stevie's first soundtrack and what a marvelous job. The songs are beautiful and with the sound of Dionna Warwick(fantastic). The arrangements are smooth and intertwining. So I checked it out. now it's your turn to enjoy some very good music.

Not many tracks on this release but award winning performances. The pop ballad "I Just Called To Say I Love You" sold millions.
My favourite tunes is "It's You" in duet with Dionne Warwick.
Strangely this track has an odd start on the CD.
it sounds like it has been cut wrongly at the moment of the mixing process and then sent to manufacturing too soon to be corrected.
This release sounds so 80's with his DX7 aboundance.
Some good stuff and some not. But sufficient overall.
