Sigur Rós – Hvarf - Heim

The labels on my records are also swapped, but the records themselves were flat. Overall, the mastering on this press sound pretty good. It has good dynamics, but bass could have been boosted a bit. The acoustic disc in particular really shines on this release. Lots of space in the soundstage, and the instruments and vocals sound gorgeous with good separation.

My copy has XLLP307 stamped in the dead wax, but nothing etched in the dead wax, so I _think_ this is the version I have. But I can't find a barcode anywhere, presumably it was on a sticker on the shrinkwrap, but that's long gone on my copy, even though I bought it new. Please reply if you can this version has no etching in the dead wax.

Anyway, my first spin of this after wet clean with a Spin Clean was . . . very disappointing . . . due to consistent crackles and pops throughout. Sure, it's vinyl so there will be some noise, but this was not cool for an album like this, with so many quiet/contemplative sections.

I've since invested in a ultrasonic cleaner, and that solved almost all of those issues, and it plays beautifully. Night/day difference for me. There is almost no surface noise anymore. I've read plenty of praise for ultrasonic cleaning, and Harf/Heim is the first album I cleaned in mine, and I'm all-in, completely on the ultrasonic bandwagon now.

What a really good album! My copy sounds great and the song "Von" sounds so amazing (as does the whole record) on my system. Sitting in between the speakers and when the violins are playing, I feel like they wrap around like a beautiful hug. This record along with the likes of M83 and Rufus Du Soll make wonderful "mood" music.

Does anyone have the Matrix/runouts? I'm almost certain I own this copy as well as the matrix numbers don't match the 2013 RSD release of this. Your help would be much appreciated.

I bought the Heima DVD and absolutely adored it. This is basically the soundtrack of that documentary. It's wonderful. Especially the second disc which is all acoustic versions of some of their more popular songs. It totally works, and some of these tracks are now my favourite versions of these songs. Recommended.

Well Mastered and great album, but not well pressed. On my copy, side B is off center, giving a strange wow and flutter effect. Has anyone else had this problem?

My copy is also labeled correctly.

The CD Hvarf have the songs of the CD Heim and viceversa.

is there any insert/booklet in this version? plain white innersleeves?

is this info about the quantity serious? just 725 copies?
