Reviews

Great pressing, sounds wonderful and very dj-friendly spreading the 8 tracks across 4 sides and 2 vinyls.
One of the greatest house records indeed! -
Edited one year agoThe wrong rpm are given on both the record cover and the label. Excellent sound quality.

Mysterious music that still felt so open & inviting. Considered, sparse sonics with beautiful arrangements. 'In a vision' is the track that blew me away when I first heard it, and is still THE grounding track that I measure all that came after it. Alongside 'Mystery of Love' by Mr Fingers, this seminal track is the essence of creating mystery and mood with unfussy but lucid arrangements. Masterpiece -
I'm shocked, I've just played a Trax label release and the quality is incredible. Brilliant music, brilliant pressing.

In fact this LP (or CD) is the compilation of these two 1989 killer releases on Trax Records https://discogs.versitio.com/release/4894-M-E-Ride. Not to be be confused with the 1985 Virgo project by Marshall Jefferson. This is Virgo Four & M.E.. A late Chicago house project by Merwyn Sanders and Eric Lewis. A must have for every serious house collector. Top quality deep Chicago house! PS: check out the Jackmaster 5 release if you're interested in other projects from these 2 producers like Siren, Rum Rummer, Sledgehammer, ... -
This has to be the mother of deep house blueprints right here. 1989! Insane...
I get so much feels and vibes from these amazing productions. This puts the S in seminal and then some. Classic for etermnity.
Thanks these 2 pioneers for beaming this frequencies from outta space for us terrestrials. Bless oooooopppsss!

Dont order this Trax RE from store like hhv.de, packing of the record is wrong. Only includes 2 times the A/B vinyl!
-
I was able to compare the remastered CD with the original CD and I can say that the remastered release was only brickwalled and didn't have any other noticeable difference with the master used.
-
Compared to the CD release, the able releases of the Rush Hour remaster are missing about two seconds of silence between each track, making the start of each track more sudden.

Excellent deep music on this album. In A Vision & Take Me Higher are the pick of the bunch for me. That's not taking away anything from the rest of the tracks as they are all top quality productions.
