I don’t mind the interview, I actually quite enjoyed it. The music is crystal clear and excellent quality vinyl to own. LPs are housed in poly-lined sleeves. Love the extra songs as well.

The Chris Bellman cut from 2011 is still the gold standard. I don't think that will change for a long time.

Edited 9 days agoThe interview before the performance is ridiculous. It's a record, so you can't skip it.
The sound is remixed and lacks dynamics and live feel.
The triangle in "Tears in Heaven" is too conspicuous and noisy -
I just picked up a copy of this 2011 Chris Bellman version, and on my system (which will deliver 30Hz pretty well), the foot thumping on the stage turns into a low frequency thump that is very distracting. So much so that I went looking into why. From the video "Unplugged" it looks like Clapton's guitar mic is pointing downward, and he's thumping his foot on a wooden stage with no carpets fairly close to the mic stand. I was so surprised that this wasn't managed out by the recording engineer. Probably sounds better on headphones.

Edited 12 days agoI have the 2011 Chris Bellman and the MoFi UD1S.
Sound quality wise, it's very clear, records are dead flat, very low surface noise. This was a digital recording, so whatever they've done in the remix / remaster process I do think they've managed to polish up the detail a bit, it's a little more accurate,
I think Claptons voice is more forward perhaps than the previous mix, at some stages like on Alberta I'd say it's too aggressive.
The Piano is generally lost in the mix, I don't know what's going on there. You can most noticeably hear the lack of it in the intro to San Francisco Bay Blues, and the solo in Old Love where it should be center stage taking focus.
And is it just me or does it feel like they've stripped out some of the audience noise in places? Again, I don't think that's a benefit, I think it loses the personality of it being a live performance, on the original I felt front and center in the crowd.
The additional 3 tracks is welcomed.
This is a different version of Running On Faith, I much prefer the other version.
It's almost like they've taken a different mic source for a lot of the tracks on this version, unless they are entirely different versions recorded at a different time?
BUT these DAMN interview snippets ruin the whole thing! WHY OH WHY DID THEY PUT EACH ONE BEFORE THE TRACK! It's completely messed up the flow of the show, I just can't get into it at all. Wish they'd just put them on the last side or whatever.
If you're a die hard fan, you'll likely appreciate it, anyone looking for musicality and value mixed with good SQ, the 2011 Chris Bellman is still the version to get IMHO, the MoFi doesn't improve on the 2011 and this copy just breaks the musical flow. -
I feel like some tracks are way too loud compared to others.
I have mixed feelings about the commentary before each songs as well because
I can’t quite immerse myself into the live concert.
Can someone explain what mastering work has been done with this? Is it extended just because of Clapton’s commentary? -

Sounds fantastic. Runouts match the 2023 pressing. Mostly flat, a slight bit of surface noise but only briefly here and there. Excellent sounding record with great low end, clear highs. Sounds like the band is in your living room. Rivals more expensive pressings without a doubt.
