On Side One of the 45 I have, I find an etched # 2 at the end of the runout on Side 1(Matrix / Runout (A runout): STERLING RCS-49208-XAA-9373-VI-S-WW1 —◁), with the 2 BEFORE the sideways triangle. Was there another pressing we don't know about?

For me it's all about 'THE END'. A track way ahead of its time, I love the way it just builds and builds. I can only imagine what it would've sounded like on the Xenon or Paradise Garage sound systems back in NYC in 1980. I still play it today and can see the original roots of 'Trance' all over it. CLASSIC!

Can someone confirm the length of the song “The End” on this pressing? I’m curious to know if it is a shorter version than the album version.

The A side is terrific, don't get wrong, but "The End" is an amazing piece of italo-disco magic. The tune perfectly closes out one of the funkiest disco albums ever!

"Now the stars shown out, in the sky that very night in pitch black city..." Easily one of the greatest opening lines in the history of disco.

Choice cut from the mighty Jim Burgess- a deceptively good time groove that still hits you hard, & amazing melodic/anthemic vox. This often got mistaken for Chic, due to its solid hook & melody. Class single sided 12"- if you can find a decent copy...
