Just got this recently from Amazon, so I guess it’s a repress (no RSD sticker but everything else is identical). Not a bad press considering it’s from GZ. Obviously a digital transfer and sounds too compressed but with an acceptable dynamic range. Mostly quiet after 2 US cleaning. Nice soundstage, not bright, not dark… A keeper as far as I’m concerned. -

Has anyone compared this version with the original 2001 UK? This copy of Lions sounds A W F U L. -
This is a fantastic pressing, beautiful separation of the instruments, very dynamic, drums come through the mix beautifully. I don’t have an original pressing of this LP to compare to, but TBH, I don’t need one as this pressing is fantastic! I thoroughly encourage anyone considering this pressing to snap it up while you can -
So a new Euro bootleg AND a legit version (RSD duplicate) are released almost simultaneously? Go figure....

Fresh pressings of this are available again at regular retail. Same colored vinyl. The only visible difference I can see between this and those pressed for RSD is the omission of the hype sticker. But sonically, it's solid. Big bottom end. Surface noise was fairly low. Good deal for $30. This is a good press...or at least I happened to get a good copy. My only complaint is that, just like the RSD press, the cover art suffers from low resolution. They must not have had access to the original files. Seems possible that this cover art was reproduced from a scan of the CD art, resized, but not "cleaned up" as well as it could have been. It's a little blurry, mostly seen on the text. It's not a difficult task with today's visual tech. But the label kinda cheaped-out on the artwork. -

eONE pressings are hit and miss. They’ve gotten better recently, but they’re still not great. -

I have never heard an album that was reproduced on vinyl that sounded so horrible. do not waste your money buying this pink piece of garbage. -

Don't pay stupid prices. This is a RSD First release. It will be repressed in far greater quantities. If you must have the colored vinyl, feel free, I'll wait, it isn't the best Crowes album in the end.
