Notes
Journey's fourth album, released in January of 1978. Infinity marked a drastic change in the band's approach, by focusing on songwriting and paying closer attention to vocals and lyrical content, including the inclusion of vocalist Steve Perry, who would share vocal duties with keyboardist and previous vocalist, Gregg Rolie. Journey's new approach brought chart success in regards to the album: Anytime were released as singles, and although they did not chart as well as the album itself, "Lights" and "Wheel In The Sky" have become two of Journey's best-known songs. The album is also well-known for "Feeling That Way", which had a music video and has remained modestly popular despite not being released as a single.

This is a Grail. I also have an original press that sounds like garbage. (It couldn’t possibly have sounded that bad in 1978 - must be a needle worn copy though looks VG+.). I know this album well from streaming and it just never sounded this natural. Sounds like a rock and roll band playing live that just happens to have the greatest vocalist of the era. And this pressing lets you hear Steve’s voice as good as I’ve ever heard it. Quiet vinyl. Just beautiful.

Wow, first album I actually fell asleep to! They must've done something right! The lack of a pause between songs must play a part in that.
This album for me is one of those album's that has to grow on me with time, I recognized that which is cool.

Very high in treble and low in bass. Eq adjustments necessary as no other records soubd this bright. Great album though -
Listening to the cd now. Wow. Never felt the need for any other version because this one is incredible. And I am not saying that because I am selling it...as a Journey fan and a music fan this version is first cd version and the last cd version I will ever need or want. Purchased new and still all these years later it just kicks.

Nice pressing. Flat, centered with good dynamics. Dunbar’s drums are full and rich, not overly crisp. Little to no surface noise. Perry’s vocals do have a hint of sibilance on a few songs. Rolie’s Hammond Organ work is great but would like to have had it a bit more forward. Bass by Valory is an even mix. Schon’s guitar is just where it needs to be for this album. Soaring and mixed for stereo. All in all…well worth having if you can land a copy in good shape at a good price.

Whoa. I had no idea what a good album this is. Amazing performances by every member, and some epic classic earworms, not just the 1-2 hits you may already know. Highly recommended!
Solid mix and nice punchy master. Gets better the louder you crank it.
This is a must-have for your arena rock collection. 4 and 1/2 stars, rounding up to five. -
This is pretty much an illegitimate entry. It seems this guy's copy just has the wrong record in the half-speed cover.
