Harry Belafonte – Belafonte At Carnegie Hall (The Complete Concert)

If one of you Discogers can fix this, it'd be great. I don't know how to do it but there is an issue with older pressings being put up under this 1996 Classic edition. Or I guess if sellers are ignorant, then maybe it can't be helped?

Simply amazing quality. This Stereo Sound issue is among the best versions available in the market. It includes the complete concert and comes with a rich booklet.

Absolutely stunning live recording, with HB's crystal clear, enveloping vocals front and center. I don't have a US for a shootout, but this German pressing is praise worthy, notwithstanding some surface noise on my VG++ copy..

This is the ultimate version of this famous audiophile recording…. Not only the masterful work of capture and cleaning by analog Productions. If not, the possibility of listening to it on DSD and on 3 channels, is the closest thing to the master you can listen to

Echoing the comment about this release/page - I just received a copy of an aged Rockaway pressing of this when I thought I was ordering this Classic Records reissue from a seller.

My mother was a big Belafonte fan and I discovered him later on in life. This recording is amazing! To think it was recorded on 3 track and to capture all this music. Analogue Productions took this to another level, although I still enjoy my extremely clean original. Sonics are accurate to the OG except this album is a little wider and so darn quiet. Belafonte's voice is more pronounced. You can hear every clap, snap of the fingers, cough and clearing of the throat from the crowd. Stand up bass plucks are also more pronounced. Good job
If you can find a clean original it's also a must for audiophile collectors.

My copy is dead silent, the music is fantastic. The only issue I have is the sibilance throughout all 4 sides, the more maybe on side B. I'm not 100% sure if my copy is to blame, the mastering (maybe also the recording a little bit?) or the settings of my tonearm (SME Series V). Or the combination of all of those :)

Holy crap! This reissue sounds absolutely incredible. It blows my mind that something this old can sound this good. Everything about the release is A+++. I own the other AP reissue cut at 33.3 and I have an original pressing. This wins by a mile. This should be in every audiophile’s collection!!!
