Slamming track and a big big favc with DJ Tom Wilson back in 94/95. Love those Church bells before the drop. Ace

Fantastic track way ahead of its time, didn't seem so at the time just sounding like a great track, but looking back it was. Still sounds great !

one of the trance classics that is still growing on me every day. whilst many trance tracks sound dated or cheesy nowadays,
and of course one may argue if it's also the case here, this track for me in an exception.
i did like it in 1994, but it was not one of my top classics back in the days, i found it already too hectic and fast, not as deep as some other classics, one of those tracks i like today even more than 27 years ago, it took me more than 20 years to realize what a blinding classic this one is - at the time it came out, for me it seemed overshadowed by a lot of other dope tracks first

I played this at a party about 20 years ago. The party was dying, it was about 6 in the morning. Everything had gone a bit quiet. I cranked this one up, loud. All around me, the comatose, the undead, the zombies, drug victims and sonambulists, rose as one to submit to the Quench beat.

My friend Barry (rip) said "wow, you're starting your set with this?", insinuating I had nowhere to go after Dreams. I didn't do 'sets'... I played one good record at the right time and then usually followed it with something completely inappropriate. Terrible DJ.

This song is better than sex. The first and best trance song to ever exist, and in this reviewer's opinion, one of - if not the - best electronic tracks of all time (this includes the entire discographies of Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Autechre, and Aphex Twin).

Calling the pioneers of trance "one hit wonders" is incredibly short sighted. Most of them were one hit wonders because they were experimenting with a new sound, a sound that only Quench managed to take from the early 90s amalgam of prototrance, techno and acid to the new genre we know today as trance (don't even pretend trance existed before 1993; that was techno and house). Every single trance track since then is inspired by Quench - Dreams, the ultimate trance masterpiece.

By the time Dreams became such a big hit the local trance scene had become very commercial so most of the local producers like CJ, Kasey, Gab etc etc started making what was later called prog hence why he didn't really continue down the straight up trance path. So maybe he was a bit of a 1 hit trance wonder but he had a hand in a lot of other things too.
