Honestly surprised with the quality of this pressing. Sounds absolutely fantastic. Have my EQ set at “neutral” default settings and didn’t have to adjust anything. The mix sounds fuckin good. Crispy, bright, crunchy highs. Warm, rich, punchy ass lows. Literally ZERO noise throughout the entire record. Not one snap, crackle, pop, or static heard after listening to the album numerous times over the last couple months. The only issue I had, and I’m pretty sure it is no fault of the manufacturer, is that there was some minor, slight warp/dishing. But I attribute that to Amazons terrible handling of records. I swear any time I order from them, I’ve got that issue. Most times, it’s minimal like this one, but sometimes it’s bad bad. Anyhow, other than that issue, this pressing is beautiful in every way. Sounds great. The green wax is cool.

      Pressing: Solid 9.5/10

I have weird feelings about this album, it’s equally hateful as it is funny. Metal Mike has said on record multiple times that he came back 2/3 of the way through the recording and had to redo a lot of the vocals as well as some of the lyrics. It’s over in less than 20 minutes, but it is absolutely pushing the limits of good taste.

Some of the lyrics are just ridiculous and hilarious (They Saved Hitler’s Cock/My Old Man’s a Fatso) and some of them are truly deranged and offensive (everything said in “Homo-Sexual”) and sometimes a mix of the two (Todd Killings/Ballad of Jerry Curlan). The band is definitely provocative if nothing else.

Personally, the absurdist tracks like Gas Chamber, Lights Out, and You Stupid Jerk are what stick out to me as the most enjoyable. If you are easily offended, stay the hell away from this. If you have a thick skin there’s a lot going on here.

            4/5

            Edit:

Firstly: Please read Metal Mike’s corrections to what I stated to get the full story of what happened with the album. Apologies for any misinformation, I was going based off of info I found online. Thank you to Mike for taking the time to reply, it’s appreciated that you’re keeping things accurate.

Secondly: Regarding the “offensive” qualities of the album, I was only trying to state that the lyrics and themes chosen were provocative, not that I was personally offended by them. Also 100-% agree about Dan White, fuck that guy.

This one has the Super chintzy thin cardboard sleeve the Germans liked to use in this period. I had a copy of My War by Black Flag with the same cheap cover stock. For some reason these Aggressive Rockproduktionen LPs used to show up inexpensively in the used record stores in the late 80s with no shrink wrap. Always wondered if they were some kind of warehouse stock that got dumped on the market around that time. It's definitely a decent pressing though.

Why does this blue vinyl copy on Subway Records comes with a Triple X Barcode Cover?

The sound on this is amazing and great, and clear. Everything comes through & this sounds better than I've ever heard it. I played the original into the ground & I agree this' perhaps even a better sound
