A side available on disc elsewhere, but B-side is fantastic, highly recommend.

This record is an awesome shade of blue. The pictures don't do it justice. That being said, this track is seriously amazing and the Todd Terry remix is an absolute classic.

We all know that the Todd Terry mix is the one that made this single a hit and brought EBTG to many more people's attention etc etc.
However, I don't feel that the Chris & James remix that predates Todd's mixes by release, certainly in the UK, gets the full credit it deserves.
It grabbed my attention as I was a huge C+J, stress records fan and knew EBTG from their cover of "I don't want to talk about it" introduced to me by my Dad.
Their remix sits somewhere between shiny, happy, melodic progressive house and break beat, listen the drum pattern and emphasise on the snares and lots of little drum rolls to build the energy. Yes it sounds a bit dated now but in 94 this was the bomb!
I heard it on Chris & James' 94 essential mix and it was played by Sasha, Nick Warren and Jeremy Healy.
When I first heard the Skippy, quite garagey Todd mix I couldn't get over how ridiculously simple and under produced it sounded. Clearly I was wrong, less is more was needed to let Tracy's beautiful and mournful vocals soar.

The Chris & James rmx will always have a special place in my heart. I feel it's excellent, euphoric club house with a progressive feel on the right side of handbag. Shows the power a remix can have at projecting a song and artist further forwards.
In 94 I was 16 and had just started buying records and practicing on my belt drive driven decks. This brings back fond memories :-) x

The vinyl is transparent blue on my copy - I am assuming this is the release (as per the photos).

How come this was released in 1994 when Todd Terrys remix remix wasn't relased until October 16th 1995??

Sound quality fine on pressing but the pressing is not centered. Doesn't affect playback but definitely off centre.

Todd Terry got a big commercial break with this one, and it's a track that is still being played on dance floors all over the world. When it comes down to it, it seems like Todd didn't do much with this one. At a glance, it sounds like he whacked a beat & a bassline under the track and then did some sequencing for it. However much respect for taking the simpler route. But credit is really due to Ben Watt, whose original production lent quite easily for Todd's remix.
